About CORO: If you are a collector of vintage jewellery, the Coro brand might ring a bell. This brand in one of the most sought after lines of vintage costume jewellery today. The brand has had a strong presence over the past century and has won the hearts of women the world over with its sensual designs and delicate patterns.
The brand was founded in the year 1901 in the United States of America. Despite its humble origins, its burgeoning popularity ensured that its factories and distribution net spread everywhere. In a very short span of time, the brand built a national and international presence. Its most famous offices are in Los Angeles, Toronto, England and Mexico.
The brand has some specialties that set it ahead of its time. Some of the leading designers of their time designed the jewelry lines made by the brand. Oscar Placco, Massa Raimond and Gene Verecchio are just some of the numerous designers who were invited by the brand to add their magical touch to the jewellery. The period from 1930 to 1950 witnessed the best lines from the brand and most collector’s items are also sourced from this time period.
